Our windward side shack lives in Kailua Beach Center, a short walk from Kailua Beach and the road out to Lanikai. It opens at 6 AM, which makes it the go-to stop before a sunrise paddle, the Lanikai Pillbox hike, or a morning at the beach.
Kailua is the one with the big shaded outdoor seating area under the trees. It is popular with locals on weekday mornings and with visitors heading to Lanikai on weekends. The Acai Bowl and Monkey Bowl are the most ordered bowls here, the Li‘ili‘i mini donuts are a sleeper hit, and the turkey and chicken pesto sandwiches make it a real lunch stop too.

Every Sunrise Shack bowl is sweetened with dates and fruit, never added sugar, and our kitchens are 100% seed oil free (no canola, soybean, sunflower or vegetable oil in anything we make). We started as a roadside shack on the North Shore of Oahu in 2016, founded by three brothers and a pro surfer, and every shack still runs on the same recipes.
